Cedric the Entertainer is an American actor, comedian, and television personality who was born on April 24, 1964, in Jefferson City, Montana. His birth name is Cedric Antonio Kyles and he was born to his mother Rosetta and his father Kittrell Kyles.

He grew up with one other sibling, a sister named Sharita Kyles Wilson. Kyles grew up in Caruthersville, Missouri until junior high school when he moved to Berkeley, Missouri. He graduated from Berkeley High School in St. Louis but around that time he developed a rash on his head that became severe enough that he opted to wear a hat to cover it.

Kyles went on to attend Southeast Missouri State University where he majored in Mass Communication.
